Bayern Munich’s former captain Stefan Effenberg has advised Michael Olise against leaving the German record champions at the end of this season. Speaking on Sport1’s ‘Doppelpass’, the 2001 Champions League winner said: "He’d be doing himself a favour, because he feels very much at home here in Munich and within the team."
Contract Details and Release Clause Absence
Effenberg noted that Olise’s contract with FC Bayern runs until 2029 and contains no release clause. He said: "I can’t imagine him leaving FC Bayern in the summer. I would be inclined to extend his contract again." Sporting director Max Eberl echoed this, stating that selling Olise in the summer was not on the cards and that the club is "relaxed" about the long‑term deal.
Bayern’s Stance and Future Prospects
CEO Jan‑Christian Dreesen declared that any club interested in Olise knows what they have at FC Bayern, while Honorary President Uli Hoeneß dismissed the idea of a move to Liverpool, citing the club’s spending and poor season.
