Lazio's Kenneth Taylor draws Premier League interest, Lotito rejects sale
Interest from England
According to Il Messaggero, more than a few Premier League clubs have set their sights on Kenneth Taylor, the 2002-born Dutch midfielder who joined Lazio from Ajax in January.
Price Tag and Valuation
Lazio paid €15 million for Taylor, plus €3 million in bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause to Ajax. Sarri has relied on him since his debut against Verona on 11 January, and the club considers him one of its best recent investments. To negotiate a sale in July, suitors would need to offer at least double the initial fee.
Lazio's Stance and Contract Details
Lotito is unwilling to let Taylor go, citing loyalty clauses that trigger bonuses and incentives for each year he remains in Rome until his contract expires in 2030. The club views him as a cornerstone for the new era under Maurizio Sarri.
- Joined Lazio from Ajax in January 2026
- Scored a brace against Bologna in the last Serie A round
- Contract runs until 2030 with annual loyalty bonuses
- Transfer fee: €15m + €3m bonuses + 10% to Ajax on future sale
- Minimum asking price reported: at least €30m (double the initial outlay)
It is unlikely that Lotito will be persuaded to part with one of his new gems after such a short time.
